- ½ tablespoon and one teaspoon vanilla extract
- ¾ cup and three tablespoons white sugar
- 2 ¾ cups and one tablespoon milk
- 1 ¼ cup heavy whipping cream
Put sugar, cream, and milk into a saucepan and stir them together over low heat until all the sugar dissolves completely. Heat just until the mixture is hot and a small ring of foam appears around the edge
Transfer the cream mixture to a pourable container. This could be a large measuring cup where you shall stir in vanilla extract and chill mix thoroughly for at least 2 hours. For the best results, leave the mixture overnight and complete the next steps tomorrow.
Pour ice cream mix into an ice cream maker, turn on the machine, and churn according to the directions of the machine that you’re using. Give it between 20 and 25 minutes.
Serve the ice cream when it is softly frozen. You can also place the ice cream in the freezer for 20 to 3 hours to ripen. But you need to place a piece of plastic wrap directly on the ice cream before doing this.
