The Most Anticipated Movies of the Year and Why You Should Watch them

Forget about the struggles that we have all gone through because of the COVID-19 pandemic that most of us had to spend our precious time indoors. If you’re a movie enthusiast, you possibly wondered when would happen, given the massive impact that the pandemic had on Hollywood and the entire movie industry. Contrary to the fear of many, 2022 has been a great year as the movie production continues to do its best so that no gaps are created in this entertainment niche. And for sure, movie fans have been expecting the release of tons of films this year, and here are just a few that you should also anticipate watching.

Scream

The movie was released in January this year. It forms one of the most exciting horror thrillers of the year. The directing duo known as “Radio Silence” brought us 2019’s Ready or Not take on Ghostface in a new entry in Wes Craven’s meta-horror franchise, with veteran stars Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox, and David Arquette all set to return.
Twenty-five years after a streak of brutal murders shocked the quiet town of Woodsboro, a new killer has donned the Ghostface mask and begins targeting a group of teenagers to resurrect secrets from the town’s deadly past. If you’re not fond of horror, I bet this is a film you’ll watch at the edge of your seat and cannot imagine being alone in the dark as the masked killer sticks his knife in the victims.

Marry Me

Marry Me came out in February this year, with J. Lo. being the film protagonist. If you haven’t watched the film yet but are looking for pure fun and entertainment, this is one of the movies to watch before the end of the month.
After securing some of the most glowing reviews of her career for her stellar turn in 2019’s Hustlers, Jennifer Lopez makes a return to rom-coms in this story. It features a pop star who marries a stranger in one of her crowds (Owen Wilson) after discovering her partner has been having an affair. J. Lo and Owen Wilson are out there to give hope for Love!!

Jackass Forever

This movie will give you a lot of cringe-inducing stunts and outrageous pranks but be prepared for an unexpected dose of heart as the boys go out in a blaze of glory. It is such a great film, definitely sticking to the original effort portrayed by the cast; it is good to see this, especially since this is most likely the last film the original Jackass Crew are handing down the belts to future generations. By assessing the original film and the new one, it is very clear precisely the difference in budget, and how nice it all comes together this is huge and highly suggest to watch this great film with your friends because there is sure to be a laugh. Some of the movies that people are still expecting to be released are May, Top Gun: Maverick, Jurassic World Dominion, and Thor: Love and Thunder.
